After exploring St. Andrews State Park and Shell Island we headed to dinner at Pineapple Willy’s.
What is Pineapple Willy’s?
Pineapple Willy’s is a beach seafood restaurant located on a pier in Panama City Beach Florida.
Our Experiences at Pineapple Willy’s
We arrived at Pineapple Willy’s for dinner and drive around until we found a parking spot. It was pretty packed but we found a spot after a few minutes.
The Waiting Area
The one thing most people dislike about going out to eat at restaurants would be the wait to be seated. At Pineapple Willy’s you are sure to have the best waiting experience. I know we did.
Once we got our name down and the buzzer in our hand, we walked along the beach and enjoyed the views. Afterwards, went into the waiting area which has a full bar next door where they serve drinks and appetizers. There is also an assortment of arcade games to play and live music to be heard.
Appetizers
We started off with some chips, salsa, and queso. It was just what we needed to hold us over until dinner.
Drinks
We opted for a the Pineapple Willy Drink to share while we waited. It was delicious and strong. It comes with a fun souvenir cup which I actually have sitting on my desk right now.
The Pineapple Willy Drink was created my Mr. Willy. It’s made with Myers Platinum Rum, Gold Rum, Hawaiian Pineapple Juice, and Cream of Coconut. It was delicious. You must have one if you visit Pineapple Willy’s, just be sure to drink responsibly. According to the menu, they sell over 70,000 of these each year.
The Food
I’m ways up to try new and usual foods. During this visit, I ordered the Po boy made with gator sausage. I loved it!
Kayla got a salad, which she very much enjoyed. If you are a seafood fan they have many delicious options. My in laws visited later and loved the shrimp and ribs.
Overall thoughts
We loved Pineapple Willy’s and hope to visit again soon. The food was great, the beach was beautiful and the waiting area with the bar, appetizers and live music made the whole experience very enjoyable.
