We enjoyed a night out with friends at the restaurant and bar STIRR.
Why you should go to STIRR.
Stirr is a an American Restaurant/Bar with a great selection of American foods and drinks. (including vegetarian and gluten free options) The ambience of STIRR is relaxing and fun. The colors and styles were very fun and modern. They have an upstairs area with skyline views.
Our Experiences at STIRR
Our friends decided we should go to STIRR in Deep Ellum, and I’m glad they did.
The food and drinks were delicious. We got there at the end of their happy hour so only some of our appetizers and drinks were half off. If you want to take advantage of the great happy hour prices be sure to go early and make sure you put the order in before it ends.
The Drinks
We started off at the bar waiting for our table. I got an Austin Eastsiders Texas Honey Cider and Kayla got sparkling rose or “Bubbly” as she calls it. Our friends got the Volcano Rock Shrimp it was delicious.
The Food
Our table was ready before long and we were excited to eat! Our waiter Adrian was very nice and pretty quick. He took good care of us and the Birthday Girl Meagan!
I had the Tortellini Alla Vodka (outstanding) and Kayla had the Half Smoked Chicken (sooo good). Blake went for the Frontier Ribeye (very good), Meagan got the Steak Frites (tasty) and Ross and Cindy got the burgers (best ever).
Dessert
Normally we are too full for dessert but thankfully Meagan shared hot birthday Root Beer Float complete with whipped cream, ice cream and alcoholic root beer! Thanks Meagan!
Side note
The blue bottle in the bathroom is not soap… lol. I thought it was soap at first but it didn’t feel right. Then I noticed the cups and toothpicks and realized I washed my hands with mouthwash. Haha.
Overall thoughts
We really enjoyed our experience at STIRR and we hope to dine and drink their again someday. The staff, food and ambience were all great! We did have some issues with arriving so close to the end of happy hour. But overall we truly enjoyed our experience!

Parking
There are plenty of parking areas around and many scooters you can rent as well. We were lucky and got a free parking spot right at the front and our friends used the Lime and Lyft scooters from their hotel.
