We love eating at local restaurants while on our road trips and throughout our home state as Oklahoma as well. In this article I will share our experience eating food from Marshall Family Catering during their 66 Kitchen Takeover in the Mother Road Market.
What is Marshall Family Catering?
Marshall Family Catering is a Tulsa, Oklahoma catering company that sells cookies in the Mother Road Market. They recently took over the 66 Kitchen and served up delicious BBQ.
What is Kitchen 66?
Kitchen 66 is a rotating kitchen featuring different businesses that want to try out their restaurant before opening a full one. Its a great way to let entrepreneurs test out their food in the market.
Upon reaching their counter at the 66 Kitchen in the Mother Road Market I was greeted by a big smile. The Marshall Family were very friendly and polite. They seem like a wonderful American hard working family.
Cookies
Let’s start with dessert.
I received the cookies a few days before I tried the food. I was impressed. The cookies were amazing. My favorite was Chocolate Chip Brownie Swirl but the Cinnamon Roll and Brown Sugar cookies were delicious as well.

The Food
The menu was mainly filled with BBQ items and homestyle foods your grandmother might have made. During the Kitchen 66 Takeover the Marshall Family served Smoked Meatloaf, Chicken Strips, Southwest Chicken, Loaded Baked Potatoes, Loaded Fries paired with sides including Mashed Potatoes (just as good or better than grandmas, sorry grandma), green beans, fries, and spicy cabbage.
I hadn’t even heard of BBQ meatloaf but I was excited to try it.
It was delicious, it had perfect the texture,a little bit of spice and great flavor. I picked green beans and mashed potatoes as my sides. They were great. I was very impressed with the mashed potatoes.
Overall Thoughts
We really enjoyed the cookies and food from Marshall Family Catering. I really hope they open a restaurant!
