Our experiences with the Tulsa Library Summer Reading Program

I participated annually in the summer reading program as a child. I loved earning the prizes and the medal I got for reading. I also loved reading the books and learning new things. I’m thankful my parents signed me up for this free program.

Today I get to share my love for the reading program with my boys. Cash (age 7) and Cale. Even though Cale is only 2 he gets to participate and gets to mark off each book we read to him. (They also have toddler books you can check out).

It’s not just for the kids, they have a teen and adult reading program as well and yes you get prizes too!

Its a great way to get kids interested in reading, Plus reading is a great alternative to staring at a screen on road trips and plane rides, our kids love reading books while heading towards our next family adventure. .

Our boys love reading books and it’s a great way for them to learn and stay happy on a road trip. The @tulsalibrary Summer Reading Program is a great way to get kids interested in reading!
